They say you can’t step into the same river twice. The same goes for the Ocean.
When you set off in your kayak, you can never know what you’ll find among the winds, the spray and the white horses. You can understand the movement, the rules and the respect you owe to the element but you can’t really Know the Ocean. Every time you answer that inner call and longing, you step into the Unknown. The water is Neptune’s dancefloor and you are never truly in the lead. You negotiate, you argue, you give up, you stand back up. Like a dance, you loose and find yourself in the motion, over and over again. The feeling of insignificance when faced with the raw forces of nature is often overwhelming. Yet, you can reach that sense of harmony that fills you with awe, liberates you from the false impression of being in control, leaving you with your own, unconditional and independent, freedom.
Welcome to the Sea Unknown.
